National FPA 2021 Events Update

Mar. 26, 2021

The following is a message from FPA's National Office:

The health and safety of our members, partners, volunteer leaders and staff will always be our priority when considering whether or not to hold in-person events. We continue to rely on public health guidance, federal and state event restrictions and member surveys to gauge whether events can proceed as planned. While disappointing, we’ve decided to shift or cancel events scheduled for the spring and summer.

: While FPA Retreat will not take place this year, we’re excited to announce dates for 2022! Mark your calendars now for April 25–28, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa. More details coming soon.

: FPA Spring Residency, scheduled for June, is canceled. We are exploring options to offer the program this fall and details about a potential FPA Fall Residency 2021 will be provided soon.

: The popular FPA Virtual Externship program will return this summer! The eight-week virtual program will begin on June 7, and we expect registration to open in mid-April. The program promises to be another can’t miss event for new and aspiring financial planners.

: FPA NexGen Gathering is going virtual August 12–13! We are planning two high-energy days that will arm you with the skills, lasting connections and practical tools you need to be the change. Registration opens on April 5.

: We continue to plan for an in-person FPA Annual Conference, so save September 22-24 on your calendar and plan to gather with your colleagues in Columbus, Ohio. Registration is expected to open this summer.

We know that our deeply valued sense of community is diminished each time an event is canceled or made virtual, and these decisions are never made lightly. Like you, we would prefer to see our members and friends in person, and we remain hopeful for events planned in the fall. Thank you for your continued understanding, support and patience.

We will update event webpages as information comes together. Please stay tuned.
