FPA of Nebraska Newsletter - September 2020
FPA of Nebraska Members,
I hope everyone has been staying healthy, happy and safe throughout these crazy last few months. I want to bring all of our members up to speed on what has been going on within FPA of Nebraska and what we have planned for the remainder of the year.
We have been holding Virtual Webinars for all our members and have had a great line-up of speakers with a very diverse list of speaking topics. Our speakers have covered mental health, disability insurance, financial psychology, along with numerous other fantastic topics. We have a great line-up of speakers in place for the remainder of the year covering tax updates, gold investing, life settlements and much more! To maintain the safety of all our member and speakers, we have decided to continue Virtual Webinars for the remainder of 2020.
Unfortunately, in an effort to maintain the safety of our members, speakers and event staff, we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Wealth Management Conference. Although it was a difficult decision, we have already started to plan for the 2021 Wealth Management Conference and are hopeful to lock in a number of fantastic speakers for next year’s event.
We are appreciative of all of our members and the impact you are making on the financial planning profession and we are excited for when the time comes when we can all come back and continue our meeting in person
FPA of Nebraska is grateful for the many corporate partners who continue to support our chapter through both good times and tough challenges. A special THANK YOU to our platinum sponsors Orion Advisor Services, Securities America and Weitz Investment Management. We appreciate your support to our association!
Your Feedback Wanted!
If you are passionate about the future of our industry and believe you have the skills and talent to serve as a leader of our Association, we ask that you please consider serving on the FPA of Nebraska Board of Directors. We are looking to fill multiple positions on the Board – the terms are for three years starting January 1, 2021.
Our Board typically meets every other month, six times a year - currently our meetings are held virtually. If you are interested in serving on the Board and/or would like more information, please let us know by Friday, September 11. A member of our nominations committee will follow-up with you to discuss in more detail.
We appreciate your help, and look forward to hearing from you!
